Krystal and Jason started dating about eight years ago and met through a mutual friend. For the past six or seven years, Krystal and Jason have been going up to the Boone and blowing rock area with her mom & brother to get their Christmas tree.
Krystal didn’t know, but Jason was planning to propose in Boone on a hike last year. When they arrived to the trail, Jason realized he needed to switch the ring to his hiking book bag; he was trying to get Krystal to not pay attention, but she was paying extra close attention. She said she was a little suspicious because he said his stomach hurt and it never hurts. He eventually was able to transfer the ring to the book bag.
When they got to the end of the hiking trail and to the waterfall, Jason got down on one knee on a rock at the base of the waterfall and asked her to marry him! Krystal’s phone background is actually the rock and waterfall where Jason proposed; how adorable and sweet is that?! He proposed on September 10 (which is Jakub and I’s wedding anniversary!)
Jason picked out the ring by himself, but knew Krystal wanted a classic, round ring that was timeless. I love the ring he picked.
