I met Kristin and Hunter back in 2020 at the start of the pandemic; we met to take their engagement photos and they thought they would most likely set the date for their wedding in 2021. Since Covid was longer lasting than they thought, they decided to postpone until 2022, when they felt comfortable that all their family members would be able to safely attend. Hunter wanted their new engagement session photos to take place with cherry blossoms. He reached out to Duke Gardens almost everyday during the window where they could bloom. On Friday, March 25, Hunter chatted with a botanist that works at Sarah P. Duke Gardens, who said that we would have until Tuesday for ideal blooms. Hunter and Kristin then reached out to me, and we scheduled their engagement session for Monday, March 28. The blooms were in peak and so beautiful! They made the perfect cheery backdrop for their photos.

Kristin and Hunter met as undergrads at NC State University in Raleigh; their first date was a pumpkin carving contest! They were doing long-distance, when they got engaged. Kristin and Hunter picked out the ring together, so Kristin knew a proposal would come soon, but she didn’t know exactly when the ring would come in. Hunter proposed the next time she was in town.
