I met Megan and Josh at a January wedding, where Megan was a bridesmaid (and I was the photographer.) Jakub and I loved watching Megan and Josh dance on the dance floor, and I was extra thrilled when Megan reached out about two months later with the news that she was engaged! Megan asked what my availability was in July and then she and Josh were officially booked and we were planning their engagement session! These two just have a magnetic quality with each other, especially when they’re dancing! I asked them to practice their first dance and the images were just magical!
Megan and Josh met when they both moved to the Raleigh area and were part of a mutual friend group from church. They met in 2019, but didn’t start dating until 2021. I think it’s so sweet that they were friends for years before both liking each other at the same time! The also both currently work at Duke! They wanted to have their engagement session at the Museum of Art because on of their first dates was walking around the grounds. I love that they now have images at a location that is important in their love story.
Megan and Josh picked out the ring together, and Josh told her when the ring came in. Megan said she started getting a little antsy waiting for him to propose, since she knew the ring was there! Josh hired a photographer to capture the proposal, which was a total surprise for Megan, and she thought it was totally sweet!
This sweet engagement session got me even more excited for their July wedding! Engagement sessions are the best way for us to get to know each other and for me to see how you interact in front of the camera. If you’re looking for a wedding photographer, I would love to chat! Please reach out today, and I’ll get back in touch with you shortly.
