Parish and Ryan met online and have been dating for three years. When it came time to propose, Parish said that she was totally surprised! Ryan and Parish had looked at rings once before, and Parish shared what she liked; Ryan made note of her favorite styles and picked out the ring by himself (so she really had no idea the proposal was coming!)
They were both dressed up, because Ryan told her that they were going to go to her favorite restaurant, 42nd Street Oyster Bar. On the way there, they stopped at Pullen Park. Post-proposal, Ryan kept the surprises coming when he told Parish they were going to meet his parents & her parents at a steak restaurant to celebrate. Little did Parish know, but they were on the way to a surprise engagement party at their house with their family and friends that Ryan planned.
