There’s just something extra charming about the english-inspired, Fearrington Village. I adore shooting here and was thrilled when Kate and Nick selected this location for their engagement session.
This was the first time Kate & Nick and Jakub & I met in person. Right now I am doing all of my wedding consultations via Google Hangout due to Covid-19. It was so nice to finally connect in person and get to know each other better before their big day in September.
Kate & Nick met on Bumble and ended up living only a few minutes away from each other, but they never ran into each other. I love how technology has made it possible to meet new connections and love interests that we wouldn’t otherwise meet.
Nick’s proposal was slightly derailed due to Covid, but he didn’t let it stop him from making their proposal unforgettable. Nick said his first couple of ideas were not possible due to travel restrictions and North Carolina being in Phase I, but he still managed the sweetest (somewhat surprise) proposal.
Kate and Nick headed down to the beach for the weekend. When I asked Kate if she thought he was going to propose, she said she had a feeling he might! While they were there, they got all dressed up for dinner and a walk on the beach. Kate said she thought this was when he was going to propose…when he didn’t, she assumed he wasn’t going to propose during their beach trip. Right before they were leaving, Nick asked Kate to come to the balcony one more time to “take in the view…” Kate is nervous about heights and really didn’t want to! Once she came onto the balcony with Nick, he got down on one knee and popped the question!
I love this romantic, fun proposal and to me it really shows that even in a global pandemic, love goes on! Covid can’t cancel love. Okay, okay…enough with all the details; I’m sure you want to see their engagement photos! Peek down below for my favorites from our time together.
