Are you ready for one of my favorite engagement sessions to date? Meet Hannah & Ben. This sweet couple has known each other for about five years, but started dating after freshman year in college. They are a true joy to be around. You know those people you meet that are just pure sunshine? Hannah & Ben are it!
They have the sweetest proposal story. Hannah & Ben picked out the ring together in December/January. Hannah goes to school in Tennessee and came back home for Spring break and said she knew Ben was going to propose soon because his mom asked her to get her nails done (how sweet is that?!). While they were chatting on the phone a couple of days later Ben let it slip that he needed to remind their mutual friend to come over at 5 on Friday. Hannah knew this mutual friend would most likely be taking photos of their proposal! When we talking about the proposal story during their engagement session, Ben laughed and said “I didn’t mean to let it slip! We just don’t keep secrets and it popped out!”
Hannah made sure to wear her favorite outfit on that Friday and showed up to the most perfect set up. A quiet spot in Ben’s backyard, surrounded by trees…decorated with twinkly lights, candles and sunflowers. Ben got down on one knee and Hannah said, “yes!” Ben and Hannah said they can’t wait to show their children where they got engaged.
Aren’t the images from this session the most joyous and dreamiest? We had the best lighting and Hannah & Ben were just the sweetest with one another. After Hannah changed into her dress, I overheard Ben whisper, “wow, you look great!” I can just tell that their wedding next year is going to be filled with sweet little moments, loving looks, and a whole lotta laughter!
