Where do I even begin with this magical engagement session?! This session is one of my absolute favorites to date; the cutest couple, alllllll the laughter, the most beautiful family farm to shoot on, and dreamy lighting throughout our time together.
Sydney’s great-grandparents purchased the land and created a dairy farm; her family has since sold the dairy cows, but kept the family land. In fact, Sydney’s whole family lives on the property in individual houses. Sydney and Kevin just purchased their piece of land from her grandpa not too long ago and they’re looking forward to building their house in the future. In the photos below, on the full barn photos, see if you can spot the cow on the weathervane. This stunning piece of familial land was a true treat to shoot on; a pond, beautiful lighting, perfect fields, an old truck that Kevin and his dad used to work on together before his dad passed, their dogs running free, and perfectly manicured florals & greenery that made for the perfect backdrop for ring detail photos! Can you tell I’m excited to go back? Luckily, Sydney’s bridals will happen at the farm and the wedding is also taking place here!
Sydney and Kevin met online. When it comes to the proposal, it’s a quick, fun story. Sydney said, “He popped me on the butt and said, ‘Hey, will you marry me?’” Kevin laughed and said “Hey, we were on the beach!” He proposed with her engagement ring, pictured below. Kevin picked out the ring without any help or input from Sydney. I think he did a great job!
