Nicole and Drew met at a car show a few years ago and have two beagles and a new puppy! The pups weren’t at this photo session, but hopefully I’ll have a chance to meet them (and photograph them!) soon.
Nicole and Drew’s proposal is a bit of a funny story. Not long after they moved to Raleigh from Southport, Nicole actually found the ring at their house in the spot drew hid it! She got very excited, but Drew made her wait before he proposed now that she found it.
About a month later Drew proposed in their home. He called Nicole upstairs and when she got up there he was down on one knee and pulled out the ring box and asked the sweetest question, “will you marry me?” after a few jokes had been made!
Nicole’s engagement ring was Drew’s mom’s, given to her by his step-father. I think it’s incredibly sweet to have a piece of jewelry that has now been passed down to the next generation.
I can’t believe this was our last engagement session for the year at Historic Oak View! Oak View has been a popular spot for this year’s engagement sessions, and I look forward to shooting here in 2021.
If you’re planning your dream wedding and looking for a photographer, please reach out. Each of my wedding packages include an engagement session at the location of your choice in the Raleigh/Cary/Durham area!
