I still remember Maddie’s newborn session; she’s the only newborn I’ve ever photographed that has been strong enough to break out of a double swaddle! During her newborn session, she did not want to be restrained and wanted to have the freedom of moving her little arms and legs as she pleased. It’s not surprise that Maddie was a young walker! Okay, I was a little surprised when she toddled ran to me when I opened the door, but it totally makes sense that she’s already walking because she’s got places to go and people to see! I bet she’ll be running by the time I see her for her two-year-old milestone session!
During the majority of my twelve month sessions we do a cake smash, but Maddie celebrated her first birthday the weekend before our session and she wasn’t a fan of the cake! I always want to tailor milestone and family sessions to best fit your little ones, so for Maddie we decided to forgo the cake and spend the whole session playing and exploring.
