These two were a dream to chat & get to know. It’s funny because these two felt like we had known them for years and were friends; the funny part about that is that Victoria’s brother and sister-in-law are Tyler and Catherine, who married last year, and we felt the same way about them! We had so, so much fun chatting with Victoria and Robert and these two felt like fast friends. Their proposal story had me laughing out loud! The details sound like they’re out of a romantic comedy!

Robert created a powerpoint presentation to share with his family and Victoria’s family regarding the details prior to the proposal, so everyone would be on the same page and knew what was happening. The proposal happened during their trip to West Virginia to a very remote cabin; since Victoria didn’t know a proposal would be happening soon, on the way to the cabin, she kept thinking it looked like the scenery out of a horror movie (haha!) Robert asked his assistant to make reservations at a particular restaurant for 5pm, which he did, but they didn’t realize that the restaurant closed at 5pm! Robert decided to keep the plan to propose and decided to go to another restaurant. On the way to dinner, a bird flew into their car; I mean, who does that happen to? Victoria said she was freaking out because a bird flew into the car, but there wasn’t a bird on the road when they turned to look. Little did they know, that when they arrived to the restaurant, they would see the bird was in the grill of the car. (Poor bird! Robert helped get him out of the grill) After dinner, on the long ride back to the cabin, Victoria realized she needed to use the restroom, but there wasn’t anywhere to stop. When they got back to the cabin, Victoria wanted to go straight to the restroom, but Robert convinced her to come around to the back. (Victoria didn’t know, but her parents were waiting inside to celebrate with them and Robert knew the surprise would be ruined if she went inside!) On the way around to the back deck, there were flower petals leading all the way there and then shaped into a heart. Once they got closer to the heart, Victoria could hear their song playing; they danced, and then he got down on one knee to ask her to marry him. They then celebrated with her parents! What an incredibly memorable proposal story!
