Do you remember these two lovebirds from their summer engagement session at Umstead? It seems hard to believe that these two have now been married for a month; time is flying! If you remember from their engagement session, sunset is very important to them. They got engaged during sunset, we took some photos during their engagement session during golden hour, and they wanted sunset portraits done on their wedding day. I’m thrilled that we had an amazing sunset the day of their wedding!
The tumblers that the groomsmen are cheers-ing with were the gift from Danielle and Shane. I thought it was a fun detail shot to take; I usually get an up close shot of the bridesmaid’s bouquets, but the guys don’t always have a similar shot.
During the reception, Danielle surprised her grandparents by playing the song they danced to during their first dance during the “longest marriage dance game.” When her grandma started getting crying, I definitely started getting teary. What an incredibly sweet moment that I had the honor to photograph.
Did you catch the little girl trying on a pair of heels that were left on the edge of the dance floor? I love being able to capture candid moments like that during a wedding.
Are you looking for a photographer to capture your special day? I would love to hear about your upcoming nuptials and how I can best preserve the details for years to come.
