These two sweethearts are tying the knot in January! Meet Elizabeth and Howard!

Howard’s mom was Elizabeth’s third grade teacher (how sweet is that?!) and about five years ago they reconnected through a mutual friend. Once they reconnected they were inseparable!

Since Elizabeth and Howard had been dating for about five years, Elizabeth was ready to get engaged and started dropping hints. It was still taking Howard a little too long (ha!), so Elizabeth placed a “rule” that Howard couldn’t buy any more of “his toys” until he proposed first. Howard’s “toys” are old vehicles that he likes to buy and then start to fix up. Howard agreed and shortly after there was a car he wanted to buy; before inquiring about the car, he went to the jewelry store in the morning to purchase the engagement ring for Elizabeth, and went inquired about the car that afternoon. The only slight issue was Elizabeth didn’t know Howard went to the store for her engagement ring because it needed to be sized and the car showed up before the ring came back and Howard could propose!

Good news is that the ring arrived shortly and Howard was able to propose! While they were in the living room, and Howard was rubbing her feet (how sweet!), he said he never wanted to disappoint her again and asked her if she would marry him! What a fun and sweet engagement story; I truly love getting to hear all the unique stories that lead to my sweet couple’s engagements! It’s one of the things I look forward to most during an engagement session.
