This was the most unique wedding I’ve photographed so far, and it’s one of my absolute favorites. Jess and Adam didn’t have a wedding party, but Jesseeca had all her best friends get ready with her in the morning and they had her sister’s adult sons be the “flower girls/ring bearers.”
They made the decorations themselves, (Jess did all the origami) and they had macaroons instead of cake! The macaroons were so delicious! They also took a group picture with each table as they were dismissed for dinner; they did a “normal” smiling picture and then there were cue cards with prompts for the second photo. Their first dance was choreographed. Adam’s tie was a topography map of Raleigh (where they first met) and one of their professors from NC State (where they both graduated) was the person who married them. We took all of their portraits in downtown Durham before the ceremony and had the best time finding perfect spots! Goodness, there’s just so many details about this wedding I love; scroll down to see all my favorites!
It’s been so fun to relive Jess and Adam’s wedding day by looking through their photos and creating this blog post. Seriously, their wedding was one of my favorites of 2021!
