You probably remember Katie’s stunning bridal session on the carousel in Pullen Park. I still adore those images! Katie and Nick tied the knot May 1 at the Barn at Broadslab in Benson, NC. Their wedding was filled with beautiful shades of pinks and greens, and so many thoughtful touches. Katie’s dad passed away a few years ago, but she made sure he was included in her wedding day. She included a yellow rose in her bouquet, a picture of him on her bouquet, a picture of him at the church where they said “I do,” a table of pictures and memorabilia at the reception, and Katie and Nick danced a memorial first dance in honor of her dad that had the sweetest song with lyrics about how the singer knew how to love and find a good man because of her dad’s love. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the reception hall during the memorial dance.
Katie and Nick’s wedding was also filled with lots of laughter! Katie and her girls had the best time when we took pictures and they kept each other giggling. The reception was filled with so many hugs, grins, and belly laughter. It’s such a joy to capture these moments for you & your loved ones on such a momentous occasion.
