Once you scroll down, you may recognize Stacey and Jeffery from their maternity session in late November. Their little girl, Riley, came as an early Christmas present; it was so sweet to get to meet Riley and photograph her.
Riley was about seven weeks old at our session and kept me laughing during our session. She’s the first little babe I’ve ever seen who shook her head “no!” Stacey said she shakes her head no at them when she doesn’t want to do something and when I was trying to get the naked, posed photos she was shaking her head “no” at me! ha!!
I’m really looking forward to seeing how her personality develops between now and her six month session and then her 12 month session. I have a feeling that she may let me know at those sessions if she doesn’t want to do something again!
Riley Ann was named after Stacey’s grandmother; Stacey had a few items that were her grandmother’s- the pearls and the gold scarf were both owned by Stacey’s grandmother. The pink, knitted blanket you’ll also see down below was one of the last blankets her grandma made before she passed. I think it’s incredibly sweet that Stacey and Jefferey were able to include some items from Stacey’s grandma and Riley’s namesake.
Stacey’s parents arrived right when we were finishing up, so we got just a couple of photos of them with their first grandbaby. I love seeing their hands on their little granddaughter.
If you’re looking for an in-home newborn session, I would love to chat! Please reach out, and I’ll get in touch shortly.
